Reciprocating Gas Compression
This course is designed to explain what compression is, how it is accomplished, and the various needs for it. Participants will be taught rod load calculations and also partake in an exercise involving changing out a valve on a compressor in our on-site production training facility.Topics Covered
- Understand how and why compressors are the most common piece of equipment used in the handling and transportation of natural gas.
- Understand why the reciprocating type of gas compressor is the most widely used method of gas compression.
- Become familiar with the Gas Compressor Theory, principles of operation, maintenance programs, and repair indicators.
